- SYN®-AKE is a small synthetic peptide that helps to quickly reduce the formation of wrinkles and smile lines. It is based on a patented mechanism and mimics the essential amino acid sequence of Waglerin-1 functionality. SYN®-AKE has been thoroughly tested for safety and efficacy. Its action focuses on the immediate and lasting relaxation of expression lines by blocking neuronal transmission at the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. The peptide acts as an antagonist at the muscle nicotinic acetylcholine membrane receptor. Since the muscle nicotinic ACh receptors are blocked, the ion channels remain closed. Na+ uptake does not occur, and muscle cells remain relaxed. The transmission of nerve impulses to the muscles is inhibited, leading to the relaxation of facial muscles. The SYN AKE molecule, consisting of only three amino acids, is transportable with cosmetics due to its size and simplicity, and it can inhibit facial expressions, thereby preventing the formation of expression lines.
